Free 8-week (1 class a week, 2 hours each class) cooking/nutrition course providing information on nutrition, physical activity, food safety and balancing food budget. Various dishes are prepared during each class and participants are provided ingredients to take home and prepare for their families. Classes are held in the following locations: Moorefield, Petersburg, Wardensville and Mathias. *As part of the DNR, this program includes things such as Adopt-A-Highway Program, Make-It-Shine Program, Youth Conversation Program and Wildflower Program. As part of the law enforcement in the DNR Hunters Education Program and Boating Programs are offered. Wildlife and fishery are also part of the DNR.
*Five Divisions dealing with air, water, waste, underground storage tanks and open dumping. The DEP also responds spills of hazardous materials.
